Elder Scrolls Online Expansions

MMORPGs like Elder Scrolls Online often have a huge number of downloadable content expansions released on a regular basis. While this can be a big challenge for new players, it's also a great way to keep the game fresh.

Since ESO is constantly updated, new expansions add more content to the game world and help improve it. However, not all of them are the same.

Elsweyr

The first new expansion for Elder Scrolls Online in three years, Elsweyr is the biggest and best expansion yet. It adds a new playable class, a huge zone full of dragons and hordes of undead to fight, and an all-new storyline. As with all the expansions of ESO, Elsweyr is designed for both current and new players. Those who have not played the game before can start fresh with the Necromancer class and experience all of the new content without jumping into previous campaigns.

Elsweyr maintains the core gameplay of ESO, and is a great addition to the overall game experience. The combat system is fast and responsive, and players can rely on a variety of skill-based combos to deal massive damage. Greymoor

The Elder Scrolls Online's fourth major expansion 'Greymoor' takes players to the snow-swept home of the Nords within Western Skyrim. You'll also visit the deepest reaches of Blackreach, a subterranean world that has long been shrouded in mystery.

The new chapter adds a smattering of side quests, delves, public dungeons, world bosses, and a new trial. It's also home to the infamous Harrowstorm World Events that wreak havoc on villages, disfiguring people as they fall into a spell cast by witches from the Icereach Coven and vampire lords.

Greymoor also introduces a new activity called Antiquities that lets players identify and excavate ancient artifacts throughout Tamriel. It's an interesting way to add some archeological digging into the game, but you'll need to have a certain level of Archeology skill and learn the system first.

Necrom

Necrom, the latest expansion for Elder Scrolls Online, takes you to the Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha. It features two new zones to explore and a story based on Hermaeus Mora, the Daedric Prince of Fate who has secrets too dangerous for mortals or Daedra to comprehend.

It's also home to the forbidden books of Apocrypha, where Hermaeus reveals his well-kept knowledge of a conspiracy that could unravel all reality. Discover this cosmic story, as well as the runic power of a new class - the Arcanist.

Get ready to embark on an epic journey through a living, breathing universe of magnitude. Choose your character, equipment and abilities to battle, loot, craft or steal as you play a new adventure of unparalleled storytelling and deep lore in The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom!

Imperial City

Imperial City is the first full downloadable content expansion to The Elder Scrolls Online. It was released on August 31st for PC/Mac, September 15th for Xbox One and September 16th for PlayStation 4.

The Imperial City consists of six new imperial districts with additional dungeons, quests, enemies, characters and a new currency for Veteran Rank 16 weapons. It's an exciting addition to Cyrodiil and should be a lot of fun for players of all levels. The entrance to the Imperial City is via the Imperial City Sewers, which are large underground areas where different vendors and banks can be found. The sewers also offer a place for players to battle Molag Bal's Daedra force, if they choose.

High Isle

High Isle is a new area to explore in ZeniMax Online's MMORPG. It's set in the Systres Archipelago, a tropical island chain filled with contrasts and intrigue.

With High Isle, you'll find a new story centered around political conflict and an ancient knightly order. You'll encounter a shadowy rogue group named the Ascendant Order, who threaten to disrupt peace talks between Tamriel's three kingdoms.

The expansion includes a lot of new content and world events, as well as new Public Dungeons that can be fun to play solo or in a group. You'll also find a 12-player trial called Dreadsail Reef and Volcanic Vents that are great spots for grinding new gear sets.

High Isle is the latest expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online, and it's a great one. It's a little bit more down to earth than last year's Blackwood Chapter, and it does a much better job of exploring the complexities of a Feudal Breton society.
