FRVR, based in Lisbon, Portugal, has purchased the free-to-play first-person shooter Krunker.io.

Krunker is a popular shooter with complete modding support that can be played anywhere without installing the game. It has over 200 million unique users globally.

Krunker, founded in 2018 by Swiss game developer Sidney de Vries, has grown to become one of the most popular post-app store games today. FRVR's platform has already reached over 1.5 billion players, earning it $76 million in investment, and it intends to use its resources to drastically accelerate Krunker's reach and performance.

"Krunker.io is an extremely excellent game with a fantastic community of gamers," stated FRVR CEO Brian Meidell in a statement. "The Krunker team has done an incredible job producing a world-class game, and we look forward to assisting the team in taking it to the next level by putting FRVR's platform, crew, and publishing engine behind it." This is the type of relationship for which FRVR was designed."

Krunker.io allows you to earn rewards by shooting your way through 12 rotating maps or by playing one of the 50,000 unique maps and games. Krunker has a bustling economy as well, with thousands of skins and goods to unlock, sell, and trade.

"We are thrilled to be a part of the FRVR family. "They completely understand our vision for Krunker, and we are all on the same page regarding the limitless potential that lies ahead of us," said Krunker.io founder de Vries in a statement. "We get to have complete creative control, which is really essential to us and the community." And this also includes a plethora of new tools and help for technical issues, quality assurance, community participation, and sandbox features. We'll have a lot more energy to focus on building a wonderful game for our players."

FRVR is a game platform that is developing a web-based environment. Meidell and Chris Benjaminsen founded it in 2017, and it now employs over 100 people across six offices.

"FRVR's scalability and ability to deploy games almost everywhere with no installs, mixed with a Krunker game."

Luke Alvarez, founder managing partner at Hiro Capital, stated in a statement that "io's caliber is the right fit to show the world what FRVR is actually capable of." "I believe this will be a game changer for both Krunker and FRVR."
