DETROITMiguel Cabrera and Austin Jackson drove in two runs apiece after their unexpected moves in the lineup to lead the Detroit Tigers to a 7-3 win over the Boston Red Sox in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series on Wednesday night.Doug Fister pitched six effective innings to help Detroit tie the series at two games apiece.MORE: Stats | TV schedule | Series images you must see | Spector's Playoff JournalHere's how it all happened, as it happened . . .PREGAMETigers manager Jim Leyland made the big news of the day by announcing a change to his lineup that he had said he wouldn't make, taking Matthias Farley Jersey Cabrera out of the No. 3 spot and moving him up to No. 2. It's not as radical of a change as it seems, as Jackson drops from leadoff to the eight-spot, with everyone else moving up a spot. There's also a previously expected change at No. 9, with Jose Iglesias getting the start at shortstop and Jhonny Peralta moving to left field with sinkerballer Doug Fister on the mound. Andy Dirks, the Game 3 left fielder and No. 9 hitter, goes to the bench.Detroit's lineup is Torii Hunter leading off in right field, Cabrera at third base, Prince Fielder at first base, designated hitter Victor Martinez, Peralta, catcher Alex Avila, second baseman Omar Infante, Jackson in center field, and Iglesias. The Red Sox go with the same Nos. 1-5 hitters as in Game 3: Jacoby Ellsbury in center field, Shane Victorino in right, Dustin Pedroia at second base, David Ortiz as the DH, and Mike Napoli, the man responsible for the only run on Tuesday with his homer, at first base. Daniel Nava gets the start in left field, replacing Jonny Gomes, and hits sixth, with catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia dropping from sixth to seventh. Shortstop Stephen Drew and third baseman Will Middlebrooks round out the lineup, with Jake Peavy pitching.FIRST INNINGFor the first time in the series, the Red Sox get a hit before the fifth inning, but it Jevon Kearse Jersey 's nothing to get too excited about; Pedroia loops a double over Infante and into right field with two outs. The first inning takes all of 11 pitches for Fister to get through, with Ellsbury and Ortiz both grounding to second base and Victorino out on a foul pop. The important thing is that there will finally be a game without no-hitter drama. There won't be no-hitter drama on one side, at least. The Tigers do not exactly make Peavy work hard in the first inning, as Hunter and Fielder sandwich groundouts to third base around Cabrera striking out looking. Peavy's initial outlay is a dozen pitches.SECOND INNINGNapoli leads off with a hard line drive that tips off Cabrera's glove and into left field for a double and a preposterously early scoring chance given the flow of the series. Nava does the profe sional-hitter thing by dragging a ground ball to second base and moving the runner to third, so Saltalamacchia has a chance to drive in a run without a hit. Trenton Cannon Jersey Instead, he hits a popup that Cabrera grabs while leaning over the rail of the Tigers' dugout. Fister strikes out Drew looking to escape trouble in impre sive fashion, lower half of the Boston lineup or otherwise.Martinez gets the Tigers' first hit of the game on a clean single to left field, and then Peavy loses the strike zone, walking both Peralta and Avila to load the bases with nobody out. The average run expectancy for this situation is 2.23, but with a total of 13 runs scored in this series, who knows what to expect anymore. Infante hits a flare into short center field that Ellsbury snares with a backhand dive. Martinez is halfway between third base and home when the catch is made, and he has to retreat to thirda strong throw home shows that it is the correct baserunning decision.Jackson, who earned his demotion by going 3-for-33 with 18 strikeouts in the postseason prior to Wednesday, draws a four-pitch walk Malik Willis Jersey to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead and make Leyland look like a genius. Iglesias follows with what should be an inning-ending double play ball to Pedroia, but the second baseman bobbles the pickup. With the speedy Iglesias running, Boston has to settle for getting Jackson out at second basethanks to a loose interpretation ofthe neighborhood play by umpire Dan Ia saognaand a deficit doubling to 2-0.There is no error on the play because an official scorer cannot a sume a double play, but Pedroia is on the hook mentally for any further damage against the Red Sox, not to mention however many extra pitches Peavy has to throw. There is more damage immediately. The Tigers double their lead again to 4-0 as Hunter rips a double down the left-field line. Avila trots home, and Iglesias, running fast from the crack of the bat with two outs, makes it around from first without a throw. Cabrera follows with a single to right to bring in Hunter and make it 5-0one fewer run in the inning than the Tigers have scored in the previous 28 combined. Finally, Fielder grounds out to second base to end the rally.THIRD INNINGGiven a five-run lead, Fister strikes out Middlebrooks to start the inning. Ellsbury then hits a ball so hard off the right-field wall that Hunter is able to grab it on the carom, fire it to the infield, and hold the American League's stolen base champion to a singlewith a close play at first on a relay throw as Ellsbury slides back after a wide turn. After Fister strikes out Victorino looking, he walks Pedroia on four pitches, bringing up Ortiz for a second opportunity in three innings with someone on base and two outs. For the second time, Ortiz hits a grounder Austin Fort Jersey into the teeth of the Tigers' shift, and Infante throws him out from right field. Peavy settles down in the bottom of the inning by retiring the side in ordergroundouts to shortstop by Martinez and Peralta, and a fly to left from Avila.FOURTH INNINGFister strikes out Napoli and Nava to open the inning, but once again, the Red Sox get a two-out baserunner as Saltalamacchia makes it four straight innings with a hit, singling to right field. Boston's timing is not so good, though, and Fister again quashes any thoughts of a rally by getting Drew to fly to right.Infante leads off the bottom of the fourth with a ground-rule double to left field, creating another opportunity for Jackson to contribute from that No. 8 spot in the lineup. Leyland said before the game, "I think I'm actually doing Austin Jackson a favor," and maybe there's something to that, with whatever the leadoff spot was doing to Jackson mentally. Only Jackson knows for sure, and maybe Leyland, but Jackson delivers an RBI single on a ball that Pedroia can't field. That makes Jamarco Jones Jersey it 6-0, and Brandon Workman comes in from the bullpen to replace Peavy.Given that the Red Sox came back from a five-run deficit in Game 2, it's no time for Detroit to relax. Jackson steals second, and Iglesias tries to bunt for a base hit. He nearly beats the throw, but settles for a sacrifice. Hunter grounds back to the box for the second out, but Workman allows the second inherited runner to score when Ca
