The Linksys Velop setup has three different methods which are the WPS, web-based, and WiFi app approaches. Every other approach has different setup points from basic to complex. Whereas talking about their prerequisites, the WPS method only requires having a WPS-compatible existing modem. Luckily, if your modem supports this button, you can perform this process rather than those two. This method only has a few steps that you can follow within less time and with less effort. But, on the contrary, for the other two processes, you need to access the setup portal on your networked PC or smartphone. 

For the second method, which is the Linksys Velop setup without app, you will be required to use any web browser. That portal will show you the setup directions once you complete the login process after accessing the window. Keep in mind to fill in the details in the right way or without making any mistakes in spelling. On the other hand, for the final method, you can install the Linksys WiFi app on the smartphone. Once you reach there, do the login process first, and then perform the setup process using the screen instructions.
