OWINGS MILLS, Md. Wholesale Steph Curry Shoes . -- Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he expects all five of his players on the physically unable to perform list to be ready for the Sept. 11 season opener against the Buffalo Bills.Wide receivers Steve Smith Sr. and Breshad Perriman, linebackers Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil and running back Lorenzo Taliaferro are currently on the PUP list and have yet to practice in training camp.Smith and Perriman are expected to be two of the Ravens top receivers, and Suggs and Dumervil are Baltimores best pass-rushers.On Tuesday, Harbaugh gave his most optimistic timetable for all of those players. We do expect them all to play in the opener, Harbaugh said. As far as the preseason, I think it goes back to Well see. They all want to play, I know that. Theyre all working really hard to play in the preseason. But we certainly expect them all back for the opener.Suggs, who tore his Achilles in last years opener, is the closest to returning. He reportedly sneaked around Harbaugh to pass the teams conditioning test last week in an effort to show he can practice.Im holding him back right now, Harbaugh said. Hell be out there soon practicing. How much we play him remains to be seen.Perriman (knee), Dumervil (foot) and Taliaferro (foot) could soon follow Suggs. The biggest concern is Smith, who said his Achilles injury was a double rupture. The other guys are probably a little longer away from [Suggs] being ready, Harbaugh said. So, well just see where we go. But they should all play in the regular season. Steph Curry Shoes Outlet . IT WAS Star Wars night a couple of months ago at Chase Field in Phoenix, and Chris Byrd went a little overboard. Vapormax Moc Canada . He dressed his kids up in elaborate costumes and fashioned their wheelchairs into a sandcrawler and a command shuttle. The wheelchairs took about 20 hours to decorate, and the question drifting through Byrds head as he fidgeted with plastic foam and duct tape -- Is it worth it? -- was answered shortly after they arrived at the ballpark.People just stop, Byrd says. They stop and take pictures. The kids feel like absolute rock stars. And Im not going to stop doing things that make these kids feel good. For a couple of hours, they forget. For a couple of hours, theyre the ones who have an advantage over everybody else.Though they dont get out to the ballpark as much as theyd like to, the Byrds are familiar faces with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Three years ago, Make-A-Wish granted Kyle Byrd his dream, to play for the Diamondbacks for a day. ?He received hitting lessons from Aaron Hill and Paul Goldschmidt, threw out the first pitch and was featured on ESPNs My Wish series. Many of the once-familiar faces at the ballpark are gone now. Hill has bounced from Milwaukee to Boston, and Adam Eaton went to the Chicago White Sox. Some guys retired, some got hurt, and so Kyle scans the dugout for Goldschmidt, one of the last ones left.In baseball, things change quickly. Unfortunately for the Byrds, life is full of constants: the feeding pumps at night, the loud whoops and sucking sounds of a cough-assist machine, and the uncertainty of a disease that, in its most severe form, kills the majority of children by the age of 2.Kyle and his twin sister, Lauren, suffer from spinal muscular atrophy, a neuromuscular disease that compromises their ability to walk, eat and breathe. They have SMA Type 2, a less progressive form of the disease, but their life expectancy is unknown. Many children with Type 2 live to become teenagers and some even young adults, but the disease is very specific to each child. There is a 1 in 50 chance a person is a carrier of SMA. If both parents are carriers -- meaning they each have a faulty gene -- there is a 25 percent chance that their child will have SMA. Chris and Cassandra Byrd are two-time victims of these long odds. They bathe and change their 9-year-old twins and hope they can live to see early adulthood. Both of these kids are freaking awesome, Chris says. Its hard for me because its like that butterfly effect. What if they could walk, but they werent Kyle and Lauren? Kyle and Lauren are Kyle and Lauren, and I love the crap out of those two little kids. [If] this is the hand God dealt me, so be it. I got this, man. I got this.AS PART of the 10-year anniversary of My Wish, ESPN recently sent update questionnaires to dozens of families whove been featured in the series. The Byrds survey was brimming with optimism about playing chess and waiting for a cure. The twins will be fourth-graders at Norterra Canyon School this fall, and it has been a perfect fit. When they first enrolled, Chris was worried the twins would be picked on, but their classmates are compassionate and the parents are great. When a child gets sick, they generally are kept home, because parents know a common cold could lead to a trip to the ER for an SMA kid.Kyle joined the chess club, and hes getting better at it. He desperately wants to beat his dad.Chris says there has been one major development in the family, but its sort of a huge downer. He and Cassandra got divorced in December 2014.I think maybe we were just fighting this fight too individually rather than collectively, he says. The marriage paid the price for it.When they broke the news to their kids -- the Byrds also have a 12-year-old daughter, Jenna -- there were tears, and Lauren raised her hand.Where are we going to live? she asked. When parents of special-needs children get divorced, its far more complicated. You cant exactly split up a house when its retrofitted with ramps and heavy medical equipment. Cassandra and Chris wanted to make their kids lives as normal as possible. So they devised a plan. Every two weeks, the parents alternate living in the house, and the kids stay put.Upon hearing that they didnt have to move or change schools or friends, the kids tears dried up and their fears were allayed. ?Cassandra doesnt get why people think its so amazing that theyve seamlessly handled the twice-a-month disruption in their lives. If you think about it, theres only two ways for it to go, Cassandra says. It goes like this, or its such a mess, like horrible, chaotic fighting, lawyers, unreasonable expectations and money fights. Theres not anything in between.Weve never really disagreed about whats best for them. Best of times, worst of times, its pretty cut and dried.Jenna helps out with her brother and sister, and doesnt complain about it. Chris worries she does too much. Though the twins shared the same womb and were born just two minutes apart, Kyle and Lauren are dissimilar. They dream differently. Lauren is the optimist. Shes convinced there will soon be a cure and that she will ride a bike and dance with her dad. All of her dreams involve her legs moving, and shes social and happy and wants to please people. She gets As in school, made the presidents list and went to Disneyland for her Make-A-Wish trip. She wanted to be a princess.Laurens body is stronger than Kyles. She can turn herself and sleep through the night -- Kyle needs to wake one of his parents up at night to move him -- and can hold a pencil and write for longer. Kyle tires easily, and when he gives up on something, he can wrongfully be perceived as being lazy.He is the realist. Hes in his wheelchair in most of his dreams, not walking. The kid who wowed the Diamondbacks three years ago with his wealth of baseball knowledge now obsesses over video games. Sometimes, he goes to the school nurse and asks if he can go home. The nurse will ask if hes sick, and Kyle says no, he just wants to go home and play Nintendo.Lauren is sunshine and cotton candy and unicorns and fantasy, Cassandra says. [Kyle] is more like, Yeah, I guess I wont be walking. He wants to invent something where he can go underwater with his wheelchair or somehow fly with his wheelchair.Kyle still looks forward to going to Diamondbacks games. Though his family has half-season tickets, they only make it to about five games a year. Most of the games are at night, which makes it too hard. Bedtime is a rigorous process of machine hookups, and its not something they want to do close to midnight. But when they go to the ballpark, people immediately recognize Kyle. Bobby Freeman, the Diamondbacks organist, hangs out with them when hes not playing, and the kids get a kick out of it. His organ is situated near the Byrds seats. When Kyle gets hot, Freeman lets them plug in a miniature fan in one of his outlets. And Goldschmidt still remembers Kyle. He always makes time to talk to him and signs whatever he wants. One of the biggest hopes Chris had for the My Wish show was that it would help raise awareness for SMA. Much has changed on the research front in the past three years. When Kyles piece aired in 2013, there were three drug programs in clinical trials. Now there are six. Were very hopeful overall about the state of current research, says Megan Lenz, communications manager at Cure SMA. Every program that moves through is one that can move us potentially closer to that goal of a cure.Chris is skeptical over how much it could help his kids at this point. Theyve had nine years of deterioration to their bones and muscles. But he doesnt discourage Lauren from being hopeful, or Kyle from just being himself.Theyre not playing the why-me card, he says. I have not heard that yet. Its just, Will I be able to do this? And I dont know.

Kevin Durants decision to leave Oklahoma City for Golden State not only sends shockwaves throughout the Western Conference and all the NBA, it also drastically changes the way we should look at the fantasy values of stars like Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. Cheap Vapormax Flyknit Ireland .We need to recognize something here -- never before has one move impacted so many top-20 caliber fantasy talents quite like this one. With Durant on the Warriors, not only is he going to have a harder time finding the 19.2 shots he averaged this past season, but so will Curry (20.2) and Thompson (17.3).How this plays out is anyones guess, and it doesnt help that Warriors coach Steve Kerr loses a key assistant in Luke Walton to help with this transition, but its easy to envision a scenario where the Warriors ride the hot hands on a nightly basis. Notice I said hands - plural. If the Splash Bros arent hitting, thats a game where the team can live off of Greens energy and feed Durant. If Durant is cold, then maybe thats a game he turns into more of a distributor and lets Curry or Thompson fire away from 30 feet. Any way you slice it, the pressure wont be on Curry and Durant to save the day all the time as theyve had to do in the past, but roles will have to be established.Who takes the shot with the game on the line? Down one late, do you set up Curry or Thompson for an open three or do you feed Durant on the block and let him go to work with a big size advantage? These are the things Kerr will have to determine over the course of next season and, while it wont be easy, its certainly a nice problem to have. But none of this is good for the Warriors as far as fantasy is concerned. As much as Durant is on upgrade over Harrison Barnes, its easy to overlook what Barnes complementary role allowed the Warriors stars to do in recent years. Barnes, who signed an offer sheet with Dallas for four years, $95 million that now wont be matched by Golden State, averaged 9.6 shots a game from the small forward spot this season after putting up a mere 8 shots per game in 2014-15.Barnes was shooting fewer than 10 times per game and Andrew Bogut barely ever looked to score (4 shots per game this past season), enabling Curry to take co
Nico Rosberg hailed one of his top three laps ever as he capped his 200th F1 weekend with pole position for the Singapore Grand Prix. Fake Jerseys Free Shipping .Rosberg was in sublime form on Saturday evening in Singapore, qualifying over half a second clear of Daniel Ricciardo and 0.7s ahead of Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton. Mercedes had been uncertain whether it had solved the problems which saw it struggle so dramatically across the weekend last year but Rosberg looked in control throughout the evening session.Definitely happy with that one for my 200th grand prix, Rosberg said. For sure it was one of my top three laps ever so happy with that, it really went well and at times it wasnt clear in qualifying how we were going to stack up against Red Bull for example, because they were very quick on the super-soft in Q2 for example so I knew I had to give it everything and really pull one out of the bag, which was cool, a great feeling.Behind Rosberg, Ricciardo will line up on super-soft tyres, as will fourth-placed Max Verstappen in the other Red Bull, after using the red-striped compound for their quickest Q2 effort. However, Rosberg is not too worried about strategy after seeing how Mercedes solved last years problems.Strategy is one of our many strengths so I dont have any concerns there. Of course we need to work out the best plan for tomorrow. It shows the quality of our team with this being our most difficult track last year, we really came away and learnt what went wrong, turned it around and now really dominated the weekend up until now. Last year we were nowhere in qualifying so it really shows the quality of the team to be able to understand something like that and turn it around in such a way. Dav Whatmore is not a happy man. Nike Roshe One Norge . More than seven weeks after he was fired as Zimbabwes coach, his pulse still quickens in anger as he talks of never having been treated as poorly in his 21 years of coaching at international level as he was in his Zimbabwe stint.According to Whatmore, there was nothing about the teams lack of performance under the termination clauses in his contract. He says that the end came suddenly, without warning, during a training camp in Bulawayo at the end of May, when managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa delivered the news while ZC chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani stared at the floor.Mukuhlani declined to comment on the specifics of Whatmores sacking, pointing to a signed agreement between the parties that he believes is confidential. We have never commented on our parting with him in the media based on that agreement, he says.Whatmore believes he was on notice from the time Mukuhlani became chairman last August, taking over from Wilson Manase, whose overtures in December 2014, Whatmore says, were the main reason he decided to take a job that looked increasingly like a poisoned chalice. These challenges are nothing new to me - taking on sides that are struggling, Whatmore says. But more than that, this chairman [Manase] followed up every call and every email and he wanted me, which was a great motivational factor.ZC had at the time recently sacked coach Stephen Mangongo after a tenure that culminated in a poor tour of Bangladesh, where Zimbabwe lost all eight of their matches. Whatmore believes that tour had a knock-on influence on his own poor results as Zimbabwe coach. We were competitive in all the World Cup matches [in 2015] after I took over, he says. But the afternoon of the Pakistan match in Queensland, when Brendan Taylor told me, Dav, Im sorry but Im leaving, I felt so dejected. I knew then that was the beginning of the end for that team. He was the only player who was able to win some games for you. When he told me that, it was a horrible feeling. When hed made that decision to leave, he hadnt known that I was going to be around, he didnt know that there were going to be so many matches to be played in 2015, and he didnt realise that the environment would be so much healthier for the whole team. So we were competitive in all of those games, but after he left, thats when it became really difficult.Whatmores assertion that Taylor would have stayed on in Zimbabwe is backed up by an interview the batsman gave in January this year, when he said: If it wasnt for the tour to Bangladesh at the end of 2014, I would probably have seen myself still playing for Zimbabwe - certainly for another year.Ive never hated cricket so much as on that tour. The way the players were handled and treated, especially spoken to, I couldnt comprehend it. I think with the change of coach and the change of atmosphere, the way the players were so confident and relaxed when changes were made, I think thats why I felt I could play my best cricket again at the World Cup, whereas in Bangladesh it was a torrid seven weeks.Despite Taylors superb World Cup, where he was the fourth highest run scorer, Zimbabwe only beat the UAE. They did, however, run South Africa, Pakistan and India close, and lost to Ireland by just five runs. Without Taylor, Whatmores Zimbabwe continued to struggle, but they did beat India in a T20I and won one-day games against New Zealand and Pakistan. Overall they won nine out of 33 completed ODIs under Whatmore, and six out of 20 T20Is, giving him win percentages that were slightly higher than Zimbabwes all-time records, and very similar to those of other coaches over the past six years. But it was the twin series defeats to Afghanistan that irked Mukuhlani and his board. If Dav Whatmore was coaching India and he lost three times in a row to Afghanistan, would he have survived? asks Mukuhlani. Why on earth should he survive for doing that in Zimbabwe? Our ranking fell below Ireland and Afghanistan under his watch, so we need to be fair with each other. If Dav Whatmore was fired after losing to India, I would not even have accepted the board to do that. But we struggled against Ireland in Harare and scraped through [Zimbabwe won a one-day series 2-1 in October]. We lost to Afghanistan three times in a row. We struggled against Scotland in the World T20. We were not very convincing against Hong Kong in that tournament, and we were completely outclassed by Afghanistan in the final match in Nagpur. So put yourself in my position and the boards. In truth, Zimbabwe have never had a side that won frequently for over a decade now. The difference from one incarnation to the next is generally how competitive they are when they lose, and Whatmores team showed improvement in this regard. Just six out of their 24 defeats were by 100-plus runs or more than five wickets, whereas his two predecessors, Andy Waller and Mangongo, saw their teams lose ten out of 27 ODIs by those margins, and win just six. In the wake of Whatmores dismissal, the three ODIs against India were all lost by eight or more wickets under interim coach, Makhaya Ntini. There was also improvement in the batting during Whatmores tenure. In 2014, only Sikandar Raza scored a century in Zimbabwes 16 ODIs. Under Whatmore, ten hundreds were scored by six different batsmen in 32 ODIs between January 2015 and January 2016.Whatmore accepts that his win-loss record was poor, but also points to the limiting factors. To be smart about it, you look a bit deeper to see what you had to work with. That is paramount. And considering the available talent and the amount of times we had injuries to key players as well, I thought that we did as good a job as we possibly could. The biggest miss there was Brendan Taylor, and then we had a little gem in Graeme Cremer coming back. So one really good player left and one good one came back. If we had both of them, I reckon it would have been a bit different. We might have still had our fair share of losses, but we would have won one or two more.He adds that the defeat to Afghanistan in Bulawayo was not helped by the conditions Zimbabwe delivered. We were giving them tailor-made conditions for the visiting team, he says. I just asked for something thats hard and true. A little bit of spin is all right. Instead, we had subcontinental conditions. And dont forget Graeme Cremer, our No. 1 spinner, was not available. But they dont understand the game. The other major point upon reflection is that the decisions made by the [Mukuhlani] cricket board were taken by the board themselves, rather than going through the proper committees. Theyre making arbitrary decisions, as people sitting around a table who know nothing about the game. Also, youve got to have a structure that has a pathway through which players can perform and then get promoted and then play meaningful competition and get promoted again, and so on. Its non-existent in Zimbabwe. There is no clear pathway. Or no good pathway anyway. Four [franchise] teams? I mean bloody hell. And they play each other twice, so thats six games a year, and thats it. Some players are just playing the odd game a year because theres no second team. Internationals come back into franchise teams and then your franchise guys are just carrying water. It is really a dereliction of duty for the game. Another bugbear for him was the fact that he had no say in the hiring and firing of assistant coaches once Mukuhlani took over. According to Whatmore, Waller was axed as batting coach - despite the batsmens gains - without his input, and Makhaya Ntini and Marvin Atapattu were brought on board. I thought it was disrespectful, he says. Im expected to work with these people and they report to me, but I have no say about who they are.Mukuhlani claims that Whatmores complaint is inconsistent: When he was appointed by the previous administration, Dav Whatmore did not come with backroom staff and he had no issue with that. Now that we are giving him backroom staff, he has an issue with our appointments, I find that very confusing. Thats number one.Number two is that after every series, the technical staff must give their feedback. There was no request from Dav that he would want to appoint his backroom staff. We have a duty - not only a moral one but a constitutional one - to appoint the technical staff. It is within our rights.Whatmore says that he was entitled to the final nine months pay from his contract when he was sacked. Instead he settled for three months, plus leave owing, bonuses owing and reimbursement for flights. I could have sued them but it would have been like another Phil Simmons, he says. Simmons legal wrangle with ZC has stretched for more than a decade following his dismissal as Zimbabwe coach in 2005, when he had two years remaining on his contract.Whatmores dismissal at the end of May meant that Zimbabwe had been through three coaches in two years. They also shuffled through three captains, three selection convenors, two bowling coaches and three batting coaches or consultants between Indias tour in July last year and their visit this June. The main issue is that ZC looks to blame everyone else and never points the finger whilst looking into the mirror, Whatmore says.I think it will end up like Kenya. Cricket will never die because its in the schools and some of the schools take it seriously even if they may not play enough cricket. And it will be exposed on television - there will always be some competition there. But already, players are preferring to go overseas to further their careers. If you really had to predict, I cant see it surviving internationally - particularly if they dont get the same funding. Theyre getting US$8-9 million a year and theyve got a debt of almost $20m. If they get a reduced amount of funding, whats going to happen then? Air Force 1 07 Norge .ca looks back at the stories and moments that made the year memorable. Nike Tanjun Norge . SHANGHAI -- Rory McIlroy is replacing his Nike driver and two fairway metals this week at the HSBC Champions as he begins to search for new equipment.Nike announced in August that it was getting out of the hard equipment business -- clubs and golf balls -- to concentrate more on its longtime strength of shoes and apparel. McIlroy, at No. 3 in the world, is the highest-ranked player in Nikes golf stable.Honestly, I didnt envisage having anything in my bad until the end of the season, McIlroy said. Look, Im playing well. Ill leave it. But I brought a few clubs out to Dubai to try out and test. I hit them and I was like, `This is good.He is using the TaylorMade M2 driver, 3-wood and 5-wood at Sheshan International.McIlroy won the Deutsche Bank Championship and the Tour Championship to capture his first FedEx Cup. A week later, he went 3-2-0 in the Ryder in a European loss. The HSBC Champions begin a stretch in of three tournaments in four weeks to close out his European Tour season.McIlroy, a four-time major champion, signed with Nike in 2013.He went back to a Scotty Cameron putter for the FedEx Cup playoffs, though McIlroy plans to stick with the Nike irons, at least through the end of the year. He said Nike recently made him a fresh set of irons. How long that lasts depends on what he finds at the end of the year. McIlroy said when his season ends at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, he plans to test equipment from every major manufacturer. The hardest part will be the golf ball, he said. I need something that works. And right now, the Nike golf ball works with the TaylorMade drive and woods, but it also works with everything else in my bag, which is perfect. Air Force 1 Norge. He said Nike has stocked up enough golf balls to last him two to three years. That doesnt mean he wont change golf balls, but at least I have that option.Nike has some three dozen players using its equipment, a roster that includes Tiger Woods. He was using the Nike clubs at a clinic at Pebble Beach two weeks ago. Woods has not played since August 2015, and his next tournament is likely the Hero World Challenge the first weekend in December in the Bahamas.Paul Casey used a TaylorMade driver for one round at the Safeway Open last week. Kevin Chappell, who finished a career-high eighth on the PGA Tour money list last year, also switched to the TaylorMade driver for the HSBC Champions and to the Titleist golf ball.According to one player, Nike has said it will honor contracts but that it will pay only 50 cents on the dollar if a player signs another equipment deal.McIlroy is not in a rush to sign any deal.Im going to enjoy the luxury of being able to play with what I want because its the best for me, he said. All of this, the whole Nike thing that happened, one of the great things is that its given me freedom to say, `Lets go to market. Lets see what works absolutely 100 percent for me.Chappell also had the Nike irons in his bag at Sheshan International, though he started testing new clubs during his two weeks after the Tour Championship. Like McIlroy, he said he was looking for the best 14 clubs he could find.If someone wants to endorse me for using them, then great, he said. ' ' '
HOUSTON -- When Red Sox catcher Ryan Lavarnway tied a major league record with four passed balls in the first inning as he struggled to handle pitches from knuckleballer Steven Wright, it looked as if Boston would be in for a long night. Nike Air Vapormax Plus Mens Sale . Lavarnway and the rest of the Red Sox didnt dwell on the tough start and instead focused on how to overcome it. Jacoby Ellsbury homered twice and Jonny Gomes added a three-run shot and the Red Sox rallied from a five-run deficit for a 15-10 win over the Astros on Tuesday. "We try not to give up until the game is over," designated hitter David Ortiz said. "Things got kind of crazy at the beginning, but we kept on playing through it." Houston extended its lead to 5-0 before Ellsburys two-run shot in a three-run third closed the gap. The Astros led 7-3 before a five-run fifth inning, highlighted by a two-run double by Lavarnway gave Boston a one-run lead. "It was a key swing in the game," manager John Farrell said of Lavarnways hit. The Red Sox tacked on five more runs in the sixth, capped by the pinch-hit homer by Gomes. The win gives Boston 69 wins this season, which ties its win total from last years difficult campaign with 47 games to go. Robbie Grossman, Brett Wallace and Jake Elmore homered for the Astros, who have lost five of six. Ortiz had four hits, two RBIs and scored twice for the Red Sox and Shane Victorino added three hits and scored four times. Wright lasted just one inning in his first major league start. He had never thrown in a domed stadium before and said his ball had more movement that its ever had. He felt bad that Lavarnway had such a difficult time handling his pitches. "Usually I can keep it within a certain area of the strike zone," Wright said. "Hes caught me before, and hes done a really good job. And today it was all over the place and it makes it tough." Brandon Workman (2-1) relieved him and got the win despite yielding nine hits and six runs in 4 2-3 innings. Houstons Jordan Lyles (4-6) gave up nine hits for his third straight start and tied a career high with eight runs in 4 2-3 innings. "He pitched himself into some predictable fastball counts against a really good fastball-hitting team," manager Bo Porter said of Lyles. "They didnt miss them and they put good swings on them." Wright won his last two relief appearances and had thrown 9 2-3 scoreless innings entering Tuesdays game. But he had trouble with command from the start and walked leadoff hitter Robbie Grossman. Grossman stole second before advancing to third on the first passed ball of the inning. He then plunked Brandon Barnes and he later advanced to second on another passed ball. A third passed ball allowed Grossman to score and Barnes to take second. The last passed ball of the inning sent Barnes home before a single by Jason Castro. Wright walked Marc Krauss, prompting a visit to the mound by Lavarnway. The visit didnt seem to help as Wright soon followed it with a wild pitch that left Castro at third. He scored on a groundout by Wallace before Wright finally escaped the inning by retiring Matt Dominguez. It was the third time in major league history that a team had four passed balls in one inning. It last happened on Aug. 22, 1987, when Texas Rangers catcher Geno Petralli did it against the White Sox in the seventh inning. Knuckleballer Charlie Hough was pitching in that game. Workman replaced Wright for the second inning and Jonathan Villar singled with one out before Grossman launched his homer into the seats in right field to extend the lead to 5-0. Ellsburys homer got Boston within 5-2 the third inning. Ortiz hit an RBI single later in the inning to make it 5-3. Wallace matched his home run total from last year when he connected on his ninth of the season to push Houstons lead to 6-3 in the third. L.J. Hoes hit his first career triple on a long fly ball which bounced up onto Tals Hill in centre field in the fourth. Villar notched the first RBI of his career with a single that sent Hoes home and make it 7-3. Ellsbury walked to start the fifth before scoring on an error by Hoes after a double by Victorino. Dustin Pedroias RBI double cut Houstons lead to 7-5 before a single by Ortiz. The Red Sox added a run on a one-out groundout by Mike Carp which sent Ortiz to second. Ortiz advanced to third on a wild pitch before Lyles walked Stephen Drew. Lavarnways double, which sailed out of reach of sprinting left fielder Grossman, scored two to give Boston an 8-7 lead and chase Lyles. Ellsbury sent his second homer to the second deck in right field off Jose Cisnero to leave Boston up 14-9 in the seventh. NOTES: Boston reliever Matt Thornton, who left the game on Sunday in the eighth inning with tightness in his right oblique area, is doing better, but still isnt ready to play. "He feels improved just by going through range-of-motion-type movements," manager Farrell said. "It was a good day for him, but were still in that timeframe where a roster decision may have to be made if we dont see further progression by (Wednesday)." ...Red Sox RHP Clay Buchholz, on the disabled list with neck and shoulder ailments, had a bullpen session on Tuesday where he threw 27 pitches. "He came out of todays session feeling pretty good about himself, and more importantly, hes built up enough of a foundation that we can build a mound progression for him to follow," Farrell said. "Progressive steps are being made right now, which is good."... Sprinter Carl Lewis, a nine-time Olympic gold medallist , threw out the ceremonial first pitch. ... I think everything we addressed in practice the last two days, the effort, the mindset, how locked in we were the last two days, I think it translated to the court, Lillard said.Maurice Harkless added 23 points for the Blazers, who led by as many as 28 in their fifth consecutive victory over the Pacers. The Trail Blazers had lost six of their last eight games as theyve struggled to find consistency on defense. He said his latest stint as a head coach really cant be compared to the previous one because with the Blazers he was in a rebuilding mode, while with the Pacers hes got a more mature and seasoned squad. Its going to be about winning and doing things the right way, McMillan said about his new head coaching gig. Im looking forward to the opportunity. In the end, he came away impressed by the Blazers. They were getting to the paint, they were throwing lobs, they were kicking out and knocking down 3s, so we never really controlled the ball -- and with a team like that its going to be a long night, McMillan said.TIP-INSPacers: McMillan was greeted with warm applause by fans at the Moda Center. Richmond board challenger Bryan Wood insists his rebel group have other candidates in mind if Neil Balme turns down a mooted CEO of football position at the AFL club. That list could be headed by another former Richmond player, three-time AFL premiership coach Mick Malthouse. The group called for a spill of the Tigers board on Monday, pledging to retain coach Damien Hardwick, chief executive Brendon Gale and football boss Dan Richardson in their current posts. The point of difference was establishing a new senior position above Richardson and they publicly nominated Balme as an ideal appointment.Confusion continues to reign over whether Balme has any interest in the role.Neil Balme is the ideal fit but if hes not available, well then we go for the next best, Wood, a four-time premiership player with Richmond, told radio station RSN927.Weve been lambasted about saying we will talk to Neil Balme, so were reluctant to mention the one or two others that we would look at as well if Neil Balmes not available. So at this stage Im not prepared to mention anyone else. But Wood was more forthcoming when asked a follow-up question regarding Malthouse, who played 121 games for Richmond and was sacked as Carlton coach in 2015.If you mention - look - he may be someone we would talk to, yes, WWood said. Luke Voit Jersey. There are a number of coaches that once theyve finished coaching have gone on to the admin side of things. But until we sit down and have a round table discussion with people, we cant make those decisions.Wood admitted he still had no idea whether Balme would consider leaving his job at Collingwood.I havent spoken to Neil Balme. I believe yesterday afternoon there was approaches made by our group, he said. Its been a busy morning. I havent heard whether theyve spoken to him or not.Wood also sought to clarify comments from Martin Hiscock, the cardiologist who is heading the rebel group.Hiscock drew widespread criticism for saying Hardwicks gameplan has to change, with the consensus being that football tactics should be left to coaches.Im not quite sure that were going to tell the coach how to coach, Wood said.We just want everyone to understand exactly what the coach is trying to achieve and that were all walking in the same direction.I wouldnt say it was a mistake (from Hiscock), I would say it was a bit strong. At a press conference with 40 or 50 journalists, cameras rolling - you know you get a little bit agitated at times. Pakistan were left to rue two missed opportunities on the first day against Australia at the Gabba. NMD Human Race Australia . They let Steven Smith off on 53 and 97 and he went to stumps unbeaten on 110It was very much Australias day after Smith won the toss - his first win in seven Tests - chose to bat and finished on 3 for 288. But Smith was fortunate to survive on 53 when he played back to the part-timer Azhar Ali and edged behind, only to be put down by Sarfraz Ahmed. Pakistans catching has let them down in recent series and missing a key chance so early in this campaign was hardly the start they wanted. It would have been a wonderful wicket for us, Steve Smith we all know is a very good batsman and he was quite well set, Azhar Ali said at the press conference. It could have changed, a little bit, the course of the game but these things happen and you just have to go on and look forward. He batted brilliantly today.Sarfraz did pouch an edge off Smith later in the day, but Pakistan failed to hear any noise and did not appeal. Smith was on 97 at the time, when he followed an excellent delivery from Mohammad Amir that swung away. Television replays revealed a small HotSpot mark on Smiths outside edge, and a noise on Snicko.Obviously we got information from outside that that had happened, Azhar said. No one really noticed anything, not even a sniff. None of our guys went up slightly, even. It was just one of those situations where no one realised what had happened.Sometimes it does happen. It has happened in the past also, that we dont get any noise or anything, any idea of having an edge. I think its just a bit of luck for the batsman.
